Kitigan Zibi Rez Dogs easily dispatched Danford Lakers on Tuesday at Redhawk Field, 14-8.

Kitigan Zibi Rez Dogs got on the board in the top of the first inning after Landen Jerome doubled, scoring one run, and Emery Racine homered to center field, scoring two runs.

Kitigan Zibi Rez Dogs added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Kevin Mason singled to center field, and Quincy Racine hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.

Kitigan Zibi Rez Dogs added four more runs in the top of the fourth inning on four hits. Lenin Decontie hit a solo home run to left field, an error scored one run, and Jack Dumont tripled, scoring two runs.

Nolan Wawatie led things off in the circle for Kitigan Zibi Rez Dogs. The starter gave up seven hits and seven runs (five earned) over six innings, striking out five and walking eight. Shane Peck opened the game for Danford Lakers. The hurler surrendered 14 hits and 14 runs (nine earned) over five and two-thirds innings, striking out seven and walking three. Keanon Papatie appeared in relief for Kitigan Zibi Rez Dogs.

Dakota Hudson provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Danford Lakers with two runs batted in. The number three hitter went 2-for-4 on the day. Carter Peck, Hudson, and Kolton McColgan each collected two hits for Danford Lakers. Danford Lakers had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating eight walks for the game. Nicholas Carroll and Dylan Chamberlin led the team with two walks each.
